How long do your candles burn?

Our candles have varying burn times depending on their size.

  • Small tin candles: Aprox 25hrs
  • Large candles: Aprox 65hrs

What are your candles made of?

Our candles are made with Coconut & soy wax, mild crackling wood wicks, infused with premium fragrance & essential oils.

Can I return a candle if I don't like the scent?

We want you to love your candles! If you're not satisfied with a scent, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order to discuss exchange options.

How do I get my empty candles refilled?

You can bring our empty candle vessels to any of our market stalls or participating stockists. You'll receive a discount on your next purchase!

Do you offer wholesale OR custom orders?

Yes, we do.

We offer wholesale opportunities for approved ABN holders, with minimum order quantities applying.

Common mistakes & solutions

Avoid these common pitfalls to get the most out of your KEEP IT LIT CANDLES:

  1. Wick trimming: Always trim the wick before each lighting to remove any burnt wood. This ensures a clean, even burn and prevents sooting.
  2. Optimal burn time: Burn your candle for at least 2 hours during initial burns to prevent majour wax rings.
  3. Proper extinguishing: Use a candle snuffer or a fire-proof lid to extinguish the flame instead of blowing it out. This minimizes soot and keeps your candle clean.

Safety first

Your safety is our priority. Always take these precautions when burning candles at home:

  1. Avoid drafts: Keep candles away from drafts or air vents to ensure a steady & even burn.
  2. Safe placement: Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable objects like curtains, to avoid accidents.

Why is my candle not burning to the edge on the 1st burn?

Rest assured, our candles are crafted to form a proper melt pool over time. While they may not burn all the way to the edges during the first few uses due to our wax's soft build, they will achieve an ongoing, even burn as the candle reaches the half way point in the vessel and will melt down the excess wax rings.

Having issues with your candle?

 

  • Sooting: If your candle is producing soot, it’s usually due to a wick that is too long. Extinguish the candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch, and relight it for a cleaner burn.
  • Wax rings: Due to using a low melting wax (coconut wax), wax rings are normal on the initial few burns. Once the candle is about half way down the vessel, the wax rings will start to disappear as the flame is more enclosed by the walls of the vessel. If you find the wax rings are still persisting, you can wrap the vessel in tin foil making sure to leave a wide opening at the top, this will help to insulate the heat.

Shipping Policy

  • Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-2 business days.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight.

  • We use Australia Post for all deliveries.

Return & Exchange Policy

  • At keep it lit keep it lit candles, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction, in line with the Australian consumer law.

    1. Faulty / not as described / does not meet quality standards:

    • Please contact us with in 30 days of purchase.
    • Please provide proof of purchase and details of the issue. If you don’t have a receipt, our branded packaging or labels are perfectly fine.
    • Upon assessment we will provide either repair, replacement or refund depending on the issue.
    • If this is the case, we will also arrange for return shipping at no cost to you.

    2. Change of mind:

    • No problem — we’re happy to offer exchanges.
      Items must be returned in unused, undamaged condition. Customers can either cover return shipping or bring the item to one of our listed markets for exchange.
